Location and Travel

Holsworthy is in north-west Devon, close to the Cornish border and ideally located as a holiday base.

The town caters well for its inhabitants and visitors with a comprehensive range of national and local shops together with many amenities including indoor heated swimming pool, sports hall, golf course, bowling green, library, park, schools, places of worship etc.

The north Cornish coast, famous for its safe sandy surfing beaches and dramatic scenery is some 9 miles away, with easy access to the South West Coast Path.

Okehampton, Dartmoor National Park and the A30 dual carriageway are around 20 miles. The port and market town of Bideford is 20 miles and the regional North Devon centre of Barnstaple is 30 miles, close to Exmoor National Park. The Cathedral and University City of Exeter is about 40 miles, whilst Launceston, Cornwall?s ancient capital is just 12 miles away.
